Ultra 2026: We Couldn’t Physically be Hyped Enough 🎆🙌

This past April, Ultra South Africa proved once again why it sits at the absolute peak of the festival food chain. Genuinely just take a second to scroll through the images, and you’ll get it. Whether you were navigating the industrial sprawl of Nasrec or catching the breeze at theostrich_capetown, the sheer scale of the 11th edition felt like a massive flex for our local scene.

The main stage moments were nothing short of legendary. Let’s just start there.😤 Seeing John Summit close out his set with tracks from his new album had the crowd frothing, grinding and screeching. When Dj snake surprised everyone by bringing out This is Bantu for their new collaboration, “Company,” the atmosphere reached a fever pitch that only a production this size can handle, and yes, we mean literal fever.

From the explosive pyrotechnics to the laser lights that carved through the night sky, every drop with that setup hit so hard it lit the sky up, and the crowd went absolutely molten. While the glitz and glam dominated the main stage, though, the Resistance floor offered that deep, darker underground grit we all crave. It was a cultural moment that reminded everyone in attendance exactly why this is the biggest music festival on the continent.

Especially when Afrojack blindsided the Jozi crowd with a surprise back-to-back set with Dj Shimza 🔥 It is a rare chance to see the biggest names in dance music performing on a stage that matches their global status. 💿✨ Also, let’s just take a second to shout out one of the real legends that goes across the country. Ultra South Africa went harder than even we expected. 🔥🔥🔥

If you missed the long-weekend madness, consider this your sign to stay locked in for what comes next to by subscribing to our newsletter here. Yes, it just happened, but Ultra 2027 is already selling tickets, so you might want to jump in while the vibes are still fresh. 😉 See you there!
