Gallagher

Cape Town [South Africa]

Biography

Gallagher is a Cape Town-based selector whose sets are defined by depth, groove, and an unwavering love for house music culture. While house forms the foundation of his sound, his sets span a broader palette, from the raw soul and classic grooves of Chicago and Detroit house, to leftfield rhythms and heavier late-night explorations. Each performance reflects his curiosity and connection with the dance floor.

He formerly hosted a long-running club night at The Waiting Room, holding a four-year residency with The Secret Society, where he helped define the night’s signature sound, rooted in house, infused with disco, and instrumental in shaping his understanding of the Cape Town scene. He now co-curates Four Four, Goshica, and Exercise, projects spotlighting local talent and exploring house and late-night sounds across South Africa.
