Introduction

As the year winds down, Connexion NYE Festival 2026–2027 returns to The Oaks Hotel in Byrne Valley, KwaZulu Natal for its ninth edition and four days of music, creativity and community. The festival brings together South African and international electronic music lovers across two distinct dancefloors, with the programme moving between underground psychedelic sounds and a broader mix of electronic styles.

Connexion is built around the idea of connection, bringing artists and festival-goers from different parts of the country together for a shared New Year experience. Alongside the music, the festival creates space for wellness, creative workshops and simply taking a break from the dancefloor. With camping included in the festival ticket, it is designed as a full outdoor festival weekend rather than a single-night event.

Artists & Lineup

The Psychedelic Floor is dedicated to underground psychedelic music, with a lineup including Psydewise, Pastor John, SwiTcHcaChe, Solus, Dr Bops, Zdlck, Mr Bud, B Roken Switch, Garden of Eden, Slab, Real Feels, Digital Dream, Boogy Monsta, Savage vs Swag, Agwera, Amphitrax, Psyman, Lee, Driva, JitterBug vs Tipsy Gypsy, Swag Monster, Jim Jam, Steady State, Snax vs MyNamesJeff, Mandelbrot vs Skabenga, Chemikult, Astra and Jashua.

The Vaaibez Floor takes a broader underground approach, featuring artists including Hypnoplex, SquishBone, Courtzy, Savage Koala, Swag Monster, Glitch, Osiris, Sebotage, Mandelbrot vs Hypernova, The Hoova MachineKit, Nowaan, Sweet IZ, ZDLCK, Jashua, Garden of Eden, Scobie, Ahee, Nurak, Psyman and Rasta Barbie. More artists are still to be announced.

Venue

Connexion returns to The Oaks Hotel in Byrne Valley, KZN, where the festival combines an outdoor setting with the facilities of the hotel site. One dancefloor is waterproof and the other shaded, giving the programme some flexibility across the four-day gathering.
