Introduction

For more than two decades, Plett Rage has been part of South Africa’s summer festival calendar, bringing Matrics and young adults to Plettenberg Bay for a week of beach days, music and late nights. Plett Rage 2026 runs from 27 November to 3 December, with the festival experience centred around the town’s beaches and nightlife venues. Since launching in 2000, the event has developed into something of a rite of passage for school leavers, combining daytime beach culture with large-scale evening entertainment. The 2026 edition continues that formula, with access to Bikini Beach, Coco Valley and a programme of music and entertainment across the week.

Artists & Lineup

Plett Rage describes its music programme as a broad mix of iconic bands, producers, DJs and emerging artists, rather than a festival centred on one electronic genre. The organisers specifically aim to balance established South African names with younger artists coming through the scene. The official music information references returning artists including Goodluck, Kyle Watson, Francois Van Coke and Ryan Murgatroyd, while the current 2026 lineup page does not yet provide a confirmed artist list. Venue

Plett Rage uses Plettenberg Bay itself as part of the experience, rather than operating from a single enclosed festival site. Bikini Beach is based at Central Beach, while Coco Valley is located at Cairnbrogie Farm and hosts the festival’s nighttime programme. Rage Village at Forever Resorts provides an accommodation and camping base, with shuttle services connecting campers to the main venues. The wider Plettenberg Bay setting, with its beaches and summer holiday atmosphere, is a major part of the festival’s appeal.
