festival101za | 28 March 2026

Cape Town April’s Autumn Anthems 🍂🔥

Regardless of the weather, the events lined up for April are looking absolutely thermal for Capetonians. 🔥🔥

We are officially hitting that sweet spot where the wind blowing on your face is cool, while the air around you is just warm enough to keep the energy going.

Honestly? We might prefer it to the pure summer jols where sweat is the featured headliner.😌
Whether you are looking for a real melodic escape or a dark, edgy warehouse rave, the Mother City has the goods this month.

☁️ Anjunadeep Open Air Cape Town: Saturday, 4 Apr 2026
The Ostrich is about to transform into a sanctuary of rolling sound, as Above and Beyond bring a rare, soulful deep set to the Philadelphia skies. It is the third chapter of this iconic label’s journey under the Cape Town sun, and each one has upped the ante.

🍃 Organik: Love Project: 11 – 12 April 2026
Celebrate two decades of the Organik movement at Dieprivier Farm in Caledon. This year, they celebrate their 20th anniversary, and whether you’ve been part of the journey or are new to the scene, the celebration will be bigger, prouder, and more Organik than ever before.

🐙 Save the Rave: Neon Dream Octopussy: Saturday, 11 Apr 2026
Follow us here. It’s an 80s-inspired, Under-the-Sea, Sci-Fi-Spy theatrical rave at Botanik Social House. With a two-story octopus stage and UK hard dance legend Ed Real headlining, this is shaping up to be unlike anything else on the social calendar this year.

⛓️ It Came From The Jungle: WAREHOUSE SZN 001: Saturday, 11 Apr 2026
Another 20th anniversary! For this one, The Jungle brand kicks off its celebration with a raw warehouse session in Paarden Eiland. Local legends like Niskerone will be taking over Alley Cape Town for a night of drum and bass that speaks to the soul of those who like to skit.

🙌 Ultra Festival South Africa – Cape Town: Sunday, 26 April 2026
We all know Ultra! This month, they’re bringing their world-class production back to The Ostrich for a massive long-weekend celebration. Catch global giants like John Summit and Axwell performing on a gargantuan stage alongside the best local talent in the country.

Jozi’s April Heatwave 🦁🔥

The sun might be setting a little earlier in Gauteng, but the dancefloors are only getting hotter. 😜

In Jozi, April is the time the organisers bust out the big, atmospheric outdoor moments and the grittiest underground bass therapy, and this April, that’s truer than ever.
So, here’s where we are heading this month. 💪

💧 Jeff Mills: Live at the Liquid Room 30th Anniversary: Friday, 27 Mar 2026
It’s a little early (or late), but we thought we’d highlight this to give you a last-minute chance to see it. 1 Fox Junction is set to become a landing strip for pure Detroit techno as the ‘Architect,’ AKA Jeff Mills, brings his legendary technical precision to the heart of the city.

☁️ Anjunadeep Open Air Johannesburg: Friday, 3 Apr 2026
Above and Beyond are bringing their deep beats to The River Cabin in Nietgedacht for a special melodic session, and it’s a day earlier than they’ll get it in Cape Town! This outdoor party starts at noon and offers a seamless flow of atmospheric soundscapes in a gorgeous natural setting.

🥁 JOBURG BASS FEST: Saturday, 4 Apr 2026
Bass music is gonna take over Sognage in Strydompark, as UK legends Bish and Diagnostix drop heavy drum rhythms. This day-to-night celebration features two stages and massive local support for what feels like the true, authentic spirit of the underground.

🙌 Ultra Festival South Africa – Johannesburg: Saturday, 25 April 2026
The legendary Ultra festival is returning to the Expo Centre at Nasrec with a massive lineup featuring names like DJ Snake and John Summit. With multiple stages, including Resistance and the amapiano-focused Groove Room, it is a world-class festival experience right in our backyard.
