Introduction
Earthdance Cape Town 2026 brings the global Earthdance movement back to Kromrivier Farm for three days of music, movement, creativity and collective connection. Running from 18β20 September, the spring gathering combines two distinct dancefloors with workshops, ceremonies, art, camping and a market village. At its centre is the Prayer for Peace, a synchronised global moment taking place at 01:00 SAST on Saturday 19 September. Rather than simply being another festival weekend, Earthdance is built around participation and a shared sense of being part of something larger than one dancefloor or city.
Artists & Lineup
The musical programme spans psytrance, techno, drum & bass and acoustic sessions, with the two stages taking distinctly different approaches. Sonic Horizon is the more driving dancefloor, carrying psytrance from the first sets through to sunrise. Mellow Meadow hosts daytime rituals, workshops and a sacred fire before shifting into techno and drum & bass after dark. The organisers say the first wave of artists is confirmed, with additional live and acoustic names still to come, although a complete artist list is not currently published in the supplied official event information.

Is This Event for You?
Earthdance Cape Town is likely to appeal to festival-goers who want more than a conventional electronic music weekend. The combination of psytrance, techno and drum & bass gives it a strong dancefloor focus, while workshops, ceremonies, camping, art and the market village add plenty to explore away from the music. The Prayer for Peace is central to the event, so its community and participatory elements are not simply extras. If you’re looking primarily for a straightforward club-style festival with a tightly defined single genre, Earthdance’s broader format may not be the best fit.
