Biography

Russian born DJ and producer Enei, real name Alexey Egorchenkov, is a leading figure in modern Drum and Bass. Emerging from St. Petersburg, he first discovered the genre in 2003 and quickly evolved from a passionate listener into one of its most respected producers.

His early releases in the mid 2000s on labels such as Fokuz, Blu Saphir, and Citrus established him as a rising talent within the international DnB community. However, it was his breakthrough connection with Critical Music in 2010 that defined his trajectory. Signing exclusively to the label, Enei delivered standout releases including Cracker, One Chance, and the acclaimed Stone Head EP, earning recognition as one of the most exciting new voices in the genre.

.

“Drum and Bass is not just sound. It is precision, energy, and constant evolution.”

In 2011, he was awarded Best Newcomer Producer at the Drum and Bass Arena Awards, cementing his reputation on the global stage. His debut album further expanded his reach, while consistent support from artists such as Andy C, DJ Hype, Goldie, London Elektricity, and Kasra reinforced his influence across the scene.

Enei’s sound blends neurofunk intensity, tech step grit, and futuristic minimalism, creating a style that is both powerful and forward thinking. His sets move seamlessly between eras and energies, reflecting a deep understanding of Drum and Bass culture and its evolution.

Today, Enei continues to tour globally, pushing the boundaries of modern DnB while maintaining his status as a cornerstone of the Critical Music sound.
