Introduction

Johannesburg gets another night with one of London’s most influential electronic music institutions as fabric returns to Carfax on Friday, 15 January 2027. The showcase forms part of fabric’s South African return in partnership with Sub Sahara, following the club’s previous Johannesburg and Cape Town events. Rather than recreating its London home, fabric brings its approach to programming and contemporary club culture into Carfax’s established Newtown setting. The result is a meeting point between a globally recognised club brand and Johannesburg’s own underground electronic music community, with an international lineup spanning house, techno, breaks and more experimental territory.
