Introduction
Africa Is Not A Jungle (AINAJ) returns to Johannesburg in 2026 with a festival concept centred on African creativity, culture and contemporary identity. Rather than presenting Africa as something to be discovered from the outside, the event positions African excellence at the centre of the experience on the stage, in the audience and throughout the wider festival environment. Taking place at Reflection Cradle in Muldersdrift on 28 November, AINAJ brings together music, creativity and community for a day focused on celebrating Africa’s cultural influence and looking towards its future. The Johannesburg edition forms part of the event’s 2026 South African programme, with a separate Durban edition scheduled earlier in November.
