Introduction
Secrets of Summer NYE 2026 returns to Black River Park in Cape Town for a New Year’s Eve celebration built around three dance floors, more than 40 artists and an ambitious audiovisual production. The event runs from 15:00 on 31 December through to 03:30 on New Year’s Day, giving festival-goers nine hours of music and entertainment leading into what organisers describe as South Africa’s biggest New Year’s Eve countdown. The 2026 edition promises the event’s biggest stage yet, a 6D audiovisual experience, fireworks and a midnight production designed specifically for the transition into 2027.
Artists & Lineup
The full Secrets of Summer NYE 2026 lineup is yet to be announced, so individual artists and musical genres should currently be treated as TBC. Organisers have confirmed more than 40 artists across three dance floors, with international DJs, leading South African artists, live performers, vocalists, dancers and other entertainment forming part of the programme. The event’s official ticketing page has not yet published the names, making it worth checking the official listing for the lineup announcement rather than relying on unofficial artist rumours.

Is This Event for You?
Secrets of Summer NYE is best suited to 18+ festival-goers who want a large-scale New Year’s Eve experience in Cape Town, rather than a small or intimate gathering. The combination of three dance floors, a 40+ artist programme, major audiovisual production, VIP options and a large midnight countdown makes this a distinctly big-event proposition. If you prefer boutique festivals, camping or a more low-key New Year’s celebration, a smaller event may suit you better. For those who want to spend New Year’s Eve surrounded by thousands of other music and festival fans, however, the scale is part of the appeal.
