Introduction
Earthdance Nelson Mandela Bay returns in September 2026 as part of the global Earthdance network of peace-focused music gatherings. Now in its 18th year in the region, the event combines outdoor electronic music, camping, community and the internationally recognised Prayer for Peace. Set beside the Gamtoos River at Wacky Woods Riverside Resort, the weekend is centred around the idea that music and collective movement can create moments of connection. The festival also supports Jehovah Jireh Haven, a registered non-profit organisation supporting vulnerable children in the Eastern Cape.
Artists & Lineup
The 2026 programme leans heavily into psytrance and psychedelic electronic music, with a supporting mix of down-tempo sounds and shamanic-inspired performance. Confirmed artists include Psyvibe, Moods, TriptroniQ, Ant, Flooting Grooves, Hegchick, Killer B, Lokka Vox, Psyschematics, Astral Formula, Lukeitup, Xenogressive, Jacksource, Nixie and Real Feels. Friday opens with Shamanic Intelligence featuring drums, didgeridoo and fire, before the weekend develops into a continuous psychedelic sound journey. The scheduled 01:00 Prayer for Peace is incorporated directly into the programme.

Is This Event for You?
Earthdance Nelson Mandela Bay is best suited to psytrance fans, outdoor festival-goers and people who enjoy camping-based electronic music gatherings with a strong community and conscious-living element. The music programme is particularly focused on psychedelic sounds rather than a broad multi-genre festival format. The riverside setting, camping component and Prayer for Peace also make the experience different from a conventional club or city event. If you prefer short-format parties, extensive commercial production or a wide range of mainstream genres, this may not be the right fit. For dedicated psytrance and outdoor festival fans, however, its combination of music, nature and global connection is central to the appeal.
