From a young age, DAN SCOT has had a passion for the electronic outdoor scene – specifically Psychedelic Trance. His musical journey began 14 years ago with techno on turntables and finally finding his love for psy trance all the while being nurtured into what is the Dan Scot sound today.

Countless sets over the years influenced by his peers and the massive trance community, has blasted his sound into a much more rolling punch ranging from daytime through to mind-bending Nighttime Fullon Psychedelia.

Dan started his outdoor career by being signed to Beartraps sister production “THE COLLECTIVE” who where responsible for a string of successful outdoor events such as, Paradise Beach and Imagine headlining some of the scene’s most loved artists in its time such as Morten Granau, Tezla, 4i20, Mandragora, Blastoyz and Berg to name a few. Fast forward a few years he was grabbed onto International label “NBM RECORDS”, which came as no surprise, joining a string of quality Dj’s and producers with the likes of Kalki, Gonzi, PsyMantis, Plastic Vision, Danimal, DM Tricks, D-Addiction and Groove Inspektorz to name a few.

His sound since then had evolved which lead him to leaving NBM Records to take on a new signing with powerhouse fullon label “KAOS KREW RECORDS” where he found himself part of a family that consists of dj/producers (Alienn, Blazing Noise, Dj Psyphoria, Kontrax, Dirge, Psycore, Mirror Phase, X-Avenger) from all across the globe!! Not stopping there and his journey of constant growth he now finds himself recently been signed to Cape Town label “NEXUS MEDIA” where he is joined by label owner Shift and a string of local and international dj’s and producers.

Dan Scot has also appeared on line-ups for Trinity, Dragon Room, Fiction, Zodiac, Equinox Experience, Side Show, Pulse, Reboot, Spectrum, Vice City, Star Bar, Club 89, Madison Avenue, Trench Town, Pulse, Affinity and Butterfly Studios.

He has also performed at outdoor festivals such as Synergy, Boomerang NYE, One World NYE, Ground Zero, Sneaky Grounds, Rezonance NYE, We Love Psy, Masqued Ball, Vortex, Altered States, Wacky Woods, Echo Gatherings, One Festival Durban, Equinox Experience Enchanted Forest, Psykiss, Elysium Durban, Sanctuary JHB, Twilight Festival JHB, Connexion NYE DBN, Transylvania and Earthdance in Cape Town as well as in Nelson Mandela Bay!
