Contact High

Contact High is the musical lovechild of Nick and Leila, a South African electronic duo known for their emotive, genre-fluid approach to dance music. Emerging from Cape Town’s underground scene, they first made their mark through the ODE party and podcast series, which ran for five years and helped introduce a driving downtempo sound to the city’s electronic music landscape.

Since relocating to Johannesburg in 2019, Contact High have become a firm fixture on the South African festival and club circuit, performing at events and venues across the country and abroad. Their journey has taken them from the binnekring at Afrikaburn, to inner-city techno floors at TOYTOY and Modular, and onto international stages including Fusion Festival in Germany.

Known for seamlessly weaving downtempo, techno, house, and experimental electronic music, Contact High deliver immersive sets that prioritise atmosphere, movement, and emotional connection. Their performances reflect Festival101’s ethos, music that transcends genres, connects communities, and creates shared moments of energy and release on dancefloors worldwide.
