Introduction

Pretoria’s deep house culture takes centre stage with The Sessions #2, returning to 012 Central on 31 October 2026. The event is built around a simple idea: putting the music and the culture behind it first. The organisers describe The Sessions as being rooted in Pretoria’s deep house lineage, positioning this second edition as a continuation of a scene that has grown well beyond passing trends. Running from the afternoon into the early hours of Sunday morning, the event offers a focused deep house experience for listeners who value the music, the dancefloor and the community around it.

Artists & Lineup

The Sessions #2 is shaping up around a strong selection of names from South Africa’s deep house scene, with Culoe De Song, Jullian Gomes and Zulu Mafia now confirmed for the lineup. With the event rooted in Pretoria’s deep house lineage, these artists give a good indication of the musical direction for the day. Culoe De Song brings his internationally recognised take on deep and Afro house, while Jullian Gomes is a key figure in South Africa’s house music landscape. Zulu Mafia adds another local name to what is already looking like a carefully considered lineup. More artists may still be announced, so Festival101 will update this section as further names are officially released.

Is This Event for You?

The Sessions #2 should appeal most to deep house listeners in Pretoria who prefer a music-first event built around the city’s established house culture rather than a large-scale outdoor festival. Its central venue and 14:00 to 01:00 schedule also make it suited to people looking for a long house music session without travelling out of the city. If you are after camping, multiple festival stages, extensive daytime activities or a broad multi-genre lineup, this is probably not that type of event. For deep house fans who want to spend an evening focused on the music and dancefloor, however, The Sessions is worth keeping on the radar.
