Flow DNA was born from a passion for Flow Arts—a dynamic, movement-based art form that fuses dance, prop manipulation, and mindful movement. Whether you’re into poi spinning, staff twirling, hula hooping, or just discovering the world of flow toys, you’ve come to the right place.
Flow Arts draws from a wide range of disciplines and cultures, including circus arts, martial arts, Tai Chi, and traditional Maori poi. It’s an empowering practice that enhances coordination, creativity, and mental well-being—perfect for all ages and skill levels.
A Trusted Name in Flow Arts Since 2013
Flow DNA began as The Flow Arts Workshop, a pop-up stall at local festivals in South Africa. Founded by a passionate flow artist and long-time member of the local scene, our mission was simple: share the joy and benefits of Flow Arts with as many people as possible.
In 2014, we rebranded as Flow DNA, setting up shop alongside Earth DNA in Cape Town and creating what we believe was Africa’s first physical Flow Arts store. When Earth DNA closed its doors in 2017, we kept going—hosting flow classes, workshops, fire/LED jams, and community events from our founder’s home in Marina da Gama, and later in Pringle Bay.
