Cape Town vs Garden Route: The Ultimate DJ Showdown at The Bunker
The Showdown of the Century π₯π₯
If you missed out on the action this past weekend, you missed a serious heavy-hitting clash of the titans. Weβve seen our fair share of massive lineups, but the regional face-off at The Bunker was pure “Sunday, Sunday, Sunday” monster-truck-rally energy from the second the doors opened. π₯ In one corner, representing the coastal underground, we had the 6-pack of heavyweights from the Garden Route.
And in the other corner, protecting the home turf, was Cape Town’s finest 6-DJ crew. Seeing them square up head-to-head in a continuous line of back-to-back sonic battles was insane. ποΈ It was a proper point-scoring matchup where nobody wants to drop a weak blend, and they kinda didnβt, hey. π€π₯ The sound system was absolutely pushed to its limits as the night slid from deep, looping melodic techno straight into the absolute chaos of psy-tech. ποΈ
By the time the clock hit the early morning hours, the room was a collective of pure sweat and driving progressive trance basslines. Honestly, the biggest winner of the night was the dancefloor itself, because watching two regional powerhouses go clip-for-clip for eight solid hours is the exact kind of competitive magic our scene needs more of. πΏπ¦
Shout out to the crews who pulled off the chaos, and to everyone who stood their ground under the lasers until 04:00.
