Biography

Tel Aviv’s electronic underground has found one of its defining voices in OMRI, a producer and DJ whose psychedelic depth and groove driven house sound are reshaping the city’s next generation. A lifelong musician, OMRI began playing drums, guitar, and piano at just six years old, absorbing influences from drum and bass to The Prodigy and Beastie Boys before discovering trance at his first outdoor rave at seventeen. That moment sparked an obsession with electronic production and a journey that continues to evolve.

Rooted in Israel’s trance culture but transformed by a life changing encounter with house music in Tulum, OMRI developed a signature style that fuses psychedelic textures with rolling, hypnotic grooves. His sets and productions feel like stories unfolding, blending trippy atmospheres with dancefloor momentum.

“You can start a track with one idea and end it with a completely different one. I want to give others the courage to explore and break barriers.”

A central figure in Tel Aviv’s nightlife, OMRI founded the NEKOODOT party line during lockdown to reignite musical culture and create a platform for innovation. He also co created the influential More Than Friends weekly series, which became a midweek institution drawing over a thousand ravers at its peak.

With releases on globally respected imprints including Rumors, Rebellion, Crosstown Rebels, Disco Halal, and Mobilee Records, OMRI continues to push forward with uncompromising studio dedication and a clear mission to challenge boundaries through psychedelic, funky, forward thinking house music.
