Biography
Los Amigos is a Spanish DJ duo whose sound bridges Spanish folklore and modern electronic music, creating sets described as “nostalgic yet new.” Founded on a 20-year friendship, the project combines roots in Ibiza with an active presence in Cape Town, South Africa, blending flamenco, rumba, and Latin rhythms into high-energy house and techno performances.

The duo gained recognition for their innovative “club edits” of traditional tracks, most notably their reinterpretation of Enrique Morente’s “Kyrie,” fusing deep Spanish vocals with contemporary club energy. This approach has made Los Amigos a staple at international festivals, including AfrikaBurn 2023 and Wolfkop Festival 2025.
In late 2025, they continued their high-profile presence in Cape Town, performing at events such as the BOHO Experience and the Amnesia Ibiza New Year’s Eve celebration at Cabo Beach alongside industry legends like Sven Väth. Known for interactive performances and connecting with diverse audiences, Los Amigos continue to explore the roots of Spanish folklore while pushing the boundaries of global electronic music. Their work reflects a formless musical ensemble dedicated to blending heritage with modernity.
