Biography
Daru, from Cape Town, South Africa, is a DJ and producer who has been pushing his unique taste and skills into the music industry since 2018. With a background in classical performance, he began his musical journey performing at eisteddfods as part of an orchestra and as a solo artist. During his early teens, he transitioned to guitar, performing in various bands before discovering electronic music through his love for rock — a discovery that has shaped his creative path ever since.
His musical versatility and passion have earned him sets at some of South Africa’s premier festivals and venues, including Bazique, Rocking The Daisies, Sexy Groovy Love, Shimmy Beach, Reset, and Modular. Daru has shared stages with an impressive roster of local and international artists such as Andhim, Andy Baxter, Black Coffee, Camilo Franco, Dirty Doering, Elif, Floyd Lavine, Goldfish, Ryan Murgatroyd, Stimming, Teenage Mutants, and Terr.
